OF COUNSEL, OLSON, BZDOK & HOWARD, PC

We believe clean air, clean water, the existence of wilderness, and the preservation of family farms is in the public interest.

We believe standing up for individuals wronged or injured by corporations is in the public interest.

For 36 years, we have been a public interest law firm.

We believe that the ability to hold government accountable is in the public interest.

More often than not, we represent the underdog. We face off against larger law firms with more staff and more money. Like a small team in a conference with bigger ones— we either have to step up our game or get off the field. —We've been on the field since 1972.

We have protected Indian treaty rights in over a dozen federal cases. On behalf of Michigan citizens, we restricted efforts by the world's largest food conglomerate to drain public aquifers for bottled water. We forced the U.S. arm of a giant Russian steel company to reduce pollution affecting South Dearborn residents. We have won landmark environmental battles at the State Supreme Court. We helped one of the largest adaptive re-use projects in America become a reality. We have secured multi-million dollar verdicts for people who have been seriously injured.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And winning one uphill battle after another has fostered a culture of highly skilled, relentlessly focused lawyers and staff.

To thrive and endure, democracy requires justice. The law creates a playing field where even the most powerful interests can be held accountable and one plaintiff can change the course of history. The rule of law is also how parents hand down assets to children. It's how people resolve disputes. It's how businesses are begun and how land is bought and sold. It's how justice is preserved.

As agents of the law, we are proud to help people achieve their dreams and stand up for their rights.
