Michael Hayes Dettmer

Mike accepts potential litigation clients and cases in the areas of, civil and commercial litigation, professional malpractice, serious personal and product injury. Mike is a past president, State Bar of Michigan; a former United States Attorney, appointed by by President William Clinton and confirmed by the United States Senate; he is the co-founder and past president and CEO of the Michigan Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company. Since 1972, he has tried more than 100 trials, large and small, all involving important rights of clients. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates; and since 1987 he has held the highest Martindale Hubbell Lawyer peer group AV rating.

Mike serves as "Of Counsel" to the Principals and Associates in the Law Firm of Olson, Bzdok and Howard, the firm he co-founded with original partner Jim Olson, in 1972.
